Stir It Up

Lyrics: Bob Marley
Music: Bob Marley

The Grateful Dead only tried this once with lyrics - on 26 March 1988. They abandoned it pretty quickly - it sounds to me as if Bob Weir sings what there is of the "verse", perhaps because Jerry wouldn't didn't.

Stir it up

Stir it up, little darling
Stir it up, oh yeah
Stir it up, little darling
Stir it up

Since I had you on my mind
It's been a long, long time
I got you, now I got you

Come on and
Stir it up, little darling
Stir it up
Stir it up, little darling
Stir it up

The Grateful Dead played it as a jam with no lyrics a couple of times in 1991, and Jerry sang it quite frequently with the JGB. He also played guitar with Donna singing lead vocals in the JGB and the Keith and Donna Band in the mid-1970s.
Chorus
Stir it up, little darling
Stir it up, come on baby
Come on and stir it up, little darling
Stir it up, whoa yeah

It's been a long, long time together
Since I've got you on my mind
Now you are here I said now it's so clear
To see what we can do baby, just me and you baby

[chorus]

I'll push the wood, I'll blaze your fire
Then I satisfy your heart's desire
I said stir it up
All you got to do baby is keep it together

[chorus]

Quench me when I'm thirsty
Come on and cool me down baby when I'm hot
Your recipe darling is so tasty
And you sure can stir your pot

[chorus]
