Back Home In Indiana

Lyrics: [James Hanley, Ballard MacDonald]
Music: James Hanley, Ballard MacDonald

Recorded during the sessions for Jerry Garcia's second solo album ("Compliments Of ...") but not released on the original LP. It's a jazz standard, played as an instrumental on the Garcia recording, though the original did have lyrics:

Back home again in Indiana
And it seems that I can see
A gleaming candlelight
Still shining bright
Through the sycamores, for me

The new-mown hay
Sends all its fragrance
From the fields I used to roam
When I dream about the moonlight
On the Wabash
Then I long for my Indiana home
